Identifying and precisely locating objects and assets in extensive and complex systems represent a considerable challenge in the industrial environment. Technicians often have to carry out inspection or maintenance work on different assets of the same type. These assets are located in different places within the industrial plant. Because the exact location of these assets is often unknown, technicians waste a lot of time trying to find them. Traditional methods of finding this information, such as searching through outdated floor plans or sifting through numerous documents, lead to time-consuming tasks. And, in many cases, do not provide reliable results.
That is why at FRAMENCE, we use state-of-the-art AI methods to effectively overcome these challenges and fundamentally change the way assets are managed.
In a previous post, we explained how you can insert text-based descriptions into the search bar of your digital twin to find objects. Read more about it here.
Now, we’re introducing an advanced feature that takes your experience to the next level: effortlessly locate any assets, objects, or combinations thereof by clicking on an example in your photorealistic digital twin! By implementing cutting-edge AI technology, our software examines the chosen object and discerns the specific asset you need. It then identifies other similar objects within the digital twin. This allows you to experience a streamlined process. All relevant assets or combinations are showcased, complete with visual representations and precise locations. The new feature saves you and your technicians invaluable time and enhances the efficiency of your work processes.
This image-based search offers new possibilities, especially if you need to find complex assets or combinations thereof that are in different parts of your facility.
Like the previously introduced text-based object recognition, this feature is of course not only available for industrial plants. You can also use it for buildings of all kinds to, for example, identify complex ventilation systems and ducts.
